Once you’ve decided a tree needs to be removed, planning begins to determine when it should come down and how to protect the surrounding area. Other than cleaning up branches and debris, any process involved after tree removal is usually not included in the overall quote. These processes include:

• Log Splitting. Cut the trunk down to more manageable pieces for transport, burning, crafts, or other projects.
• Stump Grinding. Remove the stump and root system to level the area for easier planting and landscaping design. You can use the wood chips from grinding as mulch or compost.
• Soil Testing. Assess the soil for compaction and nutrient content and amend it with topsoil, organic matter, or fertilizer to improve plant health.
• Replanting. Choose a native tree species that will thrive in the specific location.
